Tim Sherwood generated Spark in Aston Villa Camp
Its amazing how Tim Sherwood has come in and generated spark in the Aston Villa camp.
Playing against Sunderland the other evening, Villa did not look like a team which had lost 9 out of their 13 away games in the season.
Within first half an hour in that game, they had slammed 4 goals, one after the other; as if they were keen to send a signal to the tournament that they were ready to play a different brand of Football under their new boss.
The sword is still hanging on Villa though as far as demotion is concerned. They are just one defeat away from getting back to that bottom zone again, but, that’s not a concern for Sherwood.
He wants his boys to be as attacking as they can without worrying about the consequences.
According to Sherwood, it’s very important to bring the wingers more into play and use the speed.
Speaking ahead of Villa’s training session yesterday, the manager said, “When you come to a new club, you are not sure how long the guys are going to take to adapt to your methods, but, I am really happy that I have got fast response over here at Villa.”
“I realized the first day itself that there was a lot of ability in the changing room and what just needed to be done was to fit the right people at the right place and then, work out the right plans. From the clips that I saw, it was clear that the guys had been hanging on the back foot in all the games and I wanted to change that. You are never going to win games if you worry too much about the results. You have to be a little ruthless and be on the attack.”
