Roberto Di Matteo says he knows how to fix the rule breakers
Roberto Di Matteo says he knows how to fix the rule breakers and if any of the players try to go out of the line in his reign at Villa Park, it would be strictly looked into.
The previous season had some very unpleasant incidents indicating the players’ disregard to the club. One of the youngsters had been pictured in the celebration mood in disco hours after a huge loss on the Merseyside surprising as well as hurting the supporters.
Di Matteo believes past remains in past. He would not touch upon anything which might have occurred in past as he was not present at the club in any capacity and did not see anything first hand. Now that he is authorized as the head of the team, he will make a set of rules which he will suppose players to be ready to follow, not only the youngsters or any specific individuals, but, each and every one.
As per Di Matteo, he has been into ‘difficult’ camps before in his job and has never failed in settling such camps. So, he trusts himself to put the Lions together too.
The primary task of the former midfielder is to assemble the squad. He is at the moment freeing some players to cut down on the present squad which he reckons is larger than it should be. Once he is done with that, some inbound and outbound deals would be transpiring too. So, it would be almost a revamp and a lot is there to anticipate for the club followers for sure.
De Matteo has not had regular jobs as manager. He was unemployed for a long time after his Chelsea sacking and then, in 2015 too after leaving Schalke 04, he had no job for about a year.
